Body Wisdom: Navigating Trauma

  • Vital Oslo Waldemar Thranes gate 5 0171 Oslo Norway (map)

Warmly welcome another session of “Body Wisdom: Navigating Trauma”, a workshop on healing and understanding trauma. This an in-person event in collaboration with Živilė Virkutytė from Less Stress. This is an in-person event at Vital Oslo.

The workshop will consist of three parts:

PART 1: Settle into your body, mind and emotions with somatic meditation

One of the most direct and rather quick ways to feel regulated, vital, and connected more often than stressed, disconnected, and detached is to connect to our nervous system through our body. Through our bodies we can impact, regulate, and connect our nervous system by introducing new movement patterns, awareness of senses, new ways of safety and connecting, and compassionate witnessing. Somatic therapy offers a possibility to bridge a gap between body, mind and emotions and become aware of how these systems are interconnected

PART 2: Connect to your healthy core with IoPT Therapy
Identity-oriented Psychotrauma Theory (IoPT) was developed by Prof. Dr. Franz Ruppert based on his practical psychotherapeutic experience and established trauma theories. In relation to the theoretical framework, Ruppert developed the Intention Method that is applied in IoPT Therapy in a so-called Self-encounter. This method offers an opportunity to dive below the surface (into our subconscious) to explore our psychic structure in relation to a particular issue.

PART 3: Integration part through resting, breathing and/or authentic movement discipline.
AM can help to integrate any triggers, memories or sensations that may have been activated in our nervous system. It can support you to integrate what was activated during this workshop and facilitate self-regulation inside your body. That way the information is processed both in body and mind.
